                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING LINCOLN
                   AVENUE LOCATED SOUTHEAST FROM SOUTH SCENIC
                   HIGHWAY, SOUTHEAST OF JO CONN GUILD TRAIL, 
                   MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, UPON
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned Lincoln Avenue located southeast from South 
Scenic
         Highway, southeast of Jo Conn Guild Trail, more particularly
         described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made 
a
         part hereof by reference:
                Lincoln Avenue, an unopened right-of-way some 30
                feet wide, as shown on plat of Cravens Land Company
                Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 4, page 10, ROHC. Said street begins on the
                northeast line of South Scenic Highway some 549.5
                feet southeast of the intersection of the northeast
                line of South Scenic Highway with the southwest
                line of Jo Conn Guild Trail, and extends southeast
                some 717.65 feet between parallel lines to the
                southeast line of tax parcel number 155H-C-3.  Tax
                Map No. 155H-C-1-3.
               
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this closure
         and abandonment is made subject to the following conditions:

                1. Any conditions deemed necessary by the City
                   Council to preserve the historic character of
                   this area.	 
               
                2. The areas reserved for utility easements must be
                   kept free and clear of all structures.
               
                3. All existing easements are retained.
               
               
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
